· Guiding philosophy
Fletcher is one of the founding members of the Collaborative Law Institute of Michigan. She is committed to finding creative solutions for divorces that are less financially and emotionally painful and believes that collaborative divorce is an excellent way to do so. She believes that we are only limited by our imaginations in resolving conflicts. She sees her role as helping to restructure families and making divorce easier on children and all involved parties.

· Background
Prior to joining Gornbein, Fletcher & Smith, Fletcher was a partner specializing in family law at Dykema Gossett PLLC of Southeast Michigan, trained in facilitative mediation and collaborative divorce. Fletcher's background includes commercial litigation matters, general contract, securities fraud, patent/trademark and construction disputes and class action lawsuits. Because of her background in complex commercial litigation, she has a better understanding of the financial aspects of divorce than most attorneys.

Fletcher is vice president and president-elect of the Collaborative Law Institute of Michigan; a member of the American Bar Association; Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association; Oakland County Bar Association (family court committee); Women Lawyer's Association of Michigan; Michigan Council for Family and Divorce Mediation, Wayne County Chapter; Michigan Inter-Professional Association on Marriage, Divorce and Family; Oakland County Bar Association American Inn of Court and Oakland County Public Advisory Committee on Judicial Candidates.

Fletcher is on the Children's Law Center Advisory Council of Wayne County Neighborhood Legal Services and a member of the Michigan Supreme Court Historical Society.

· Education
Fletcher received her bachelor's degree from Wayne State University, her master's degree from the University of Michigan and graduated cum laude with her law degree from the University of Detroit. She served a clerkship, 1988 to 1990, with Michigan Supreme Court Justice Patricia Boyle. Fletcher was admitted to practice in 1988.
