101217.jpgLynn M. Vance is a partner and co-founder of Vance & O'Rourke, a financial, retirement and divorce counseling firm. Her areas of expertise include investments, asset-allocation studies, and the use of computerized planning to help clients reach their financial goals. Lynn is trained to provide financial information and assistance to people in divorce to include evaluating the tax implications of dividing property and the settlement options for dividing pensions, marital property, and awarding of child and spousal support. She also helps to design retirement planning workshops, train instructors, and coordinate retirement courses both here in the Detroit Metro area, and across the country. Vance has co-ordinated retirement planning programs for Chrysler Corporation, UAW/GM, Proctor & Gamble, Comerica, Michigan National Bank, Rockwell International, and Edwards Brothers.

In 1982, Vance earned her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation from the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. She is currently enrolled in the Masters of Science Program. She is a NASD licensed registered representative through Mutual Service Corporation in West Palm Beach, Florida, with stock and bond clearing capabilities through Pershing in New York, both members of NASD and SIPC insured. She is a Registered Advisory Agent of Advisors Mutual Service Center, Inc., a registered investment advisory firm. Vance holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Michigan University with advanced study in foreign language at the Universite de Grenoble in France.

Vance is a member of the Registry of Financial Planning Practitioners, and Oakland County Financial and Estate Planning Council, the Michigan Chapter of Institute of Certified Financial Planners, and the community board of directors for the Bank of Bloomfield, a private banking institution.
